Therapeutic Yoga for irritable bowel syndrome – this is a common abdominal condition characterised by a group of symptoms, including abdominal pain or cramps, constipation and/or diarrhoea, flatulence, bloating, acidity (heartburn), nausea and vomiting.  The precise cause of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is unknown, although certain foods, Candida and stress may be triggers.

 

Therapeutic Yoga for diabetes – diabetes mellitus is a chronic condition in which the amount of sugar (glucose) in the blood is too high because the body is unable either to convert it into energy or to store it.  Glucose is burned by the body’s cells to make energy.  Normally, a hormone called insulin, secreted by the pancreas, regulates the amount of glucose in the blood, but in people with diabetes either the body doesn’t produce enough insulin (type I) or it is unable to use it properly (type II).  Excess glucose then builds up in the blood and is excreted through the urine.
